Synopsis

다큐멘터리/애니메이션 <로드하우 섬의 기적>은 오세아니아의 로드하우 섬에서 실제 일어난 사건을 들려준다. 항해 중이던 영국군이 우연히 이 섬을 발견했고, 그들을 따라 섬에 상륙한 쥐떼들은 이 섬에만 서식하던 ‘대벌레’를 빠른 속도로 먹어 치웠다. 인간이 교란시켜 무너진 생태계의 균형은 좀처럼 회복되기 힘든 법. 하지만 일군의 연구자들의 헌신과 노력으로 로드하우 섬의 생태계는 다시 이전 모습을 찾게 된다.
Sticky is a short animated documentary telling the astonishing true story of the stick insects from Lord Howe Island. In 1918 rats were accidentally introduced to the island and quickly munched their way through the entire stick insect population. Within a few years the insects were extinct. Or were they?

카지노 딜러, 고고학자, 신문사 조수로 일하다 현재는 애니메이션 작업에 전념하고 있다. 2012년 첫 번째 단편영화 <포식자!!!>를, 2013년 두 번째 단편 <로드하우 섬의 기적>를 완성했으며, 현재 두 편의 애니메이션을 만들고 있다. 자신의 이야기를 통해 웃을 일이 없는 날에도 사람들을 웃게 하는 것이 꿈이다.
After brief careers as a croupier, archaeologist and printing press assistant, Jilli ROSE learned how to animate and has been gleefully making things move ever since. She released her first short, Predator!!! in April 2012 and Sticky in 2013. Her ambition is to learn to tell her stories so well that people smile even on days when they think they have no smile in them.
