Synopsis

캐나다 토론토에서는 개인이 닭을 사육하는 것을 법으로 금지하고 있다. 하지만 환경과 로컬 푸드에 대한 사람들의 관심은 점점 높아지고 있는 상황. 이 와중에 신선한 계란을 얻기 위해서 경찰의 눈을 피해 몰래 닭을 치는 사람들이 증가하고 있다. 닭을 키우는 이들과 이를 단속하는 경찰들의 쫓고 쫓김을 흥미진진하게 촬영한 블랙코미디 다큐멘터리.
In the wake of the 100-mile diet and the public’s increasing desire for local and organic food, Crackdown! tells the story of Toronto’s urban chicken keepers just want access to fresh eggs at home for their families “Pets with benefits”, if you will. The film takes a satirical look at the municipal by laws that forced this movement underground and what it means to raise chickens in your backyard, – and become a criminal for doing so.

독립 다큐멘터리 작가이자 촬영감독. 독일에서 태어나 슈투트가르트미디어대학교에서 영상미디어를 전공했으며, 현재는 도심에서 먹을 것을 키우다가 범죄자로 몰린 사람들에 대한 장편 다큐멘터리를 제작하고 있다.
Jan KECK is an adventurous, independent documentary storyteller & cinematographer whose primary goal is to produce works that change, educate and inspire. He was born in Germany where he studied audio-visual media at the University of Media in Stuttgart. Most recently he is working on a feature documentary about people who are criminalized for growing food in the city.
