Synopsis

50년 전, 영국의 비밀스런 핵 실험지였던 호주 남부의 마라링가 마을. 많은 원주민들이 사망했고 이제 이곳은 악명 높은 관광지가 되었다. 카메라는 진혼이 깃든 듯 황량한 땅의 풍경과 세월을 고스란히 지고 살아남은 늙은 원주민들의 구술을 담으며 그 날의 발자취를 좇는다.
This film contains footages from the Maralinga nuclear test sites as well as the Maralinga village shot in 2011. In an attempt to show the space in which these tests occupied as well as the physical and metaphysical environments that were and are contaminated.

사진미디어아티스트, 영화감독, 사진작가, 멀티미디어 프로듀서. 현재 모나쉬대학교 석사과정 중이다. 기억에 대한 개념, 동시대를 살아가는 호주인들의 정체성, 지역사회, 그리고 액티비즘과 관련된 장소를 카메라에 담고 있다.
Jessie BOYLAN is a photomedia artist, filmmaker, freelance photographer and multimedia producer. She is currently doing her MFA at Monash University. Her works explore ideas of memory and place in relation to contemporary Australian identity, community and
activism.
