Synopsis

케냐의 수도 나이로비에는 세계에서 두 번째로 큰 빈민지역 키베라가 있다. 이 곳에서 어려운 삶을 이어가던 모리스는 기적과도 같은 도시 농경과 낡은 자루를 창의적으로 사용한 아이디어로 가족을 일년 내내 먹여 살릴 방법을 고안해낸다. 영화는 한정된 자원에 대한 수요, 식량가격 인상에 따른 극빈층의 굶주림에 대해 어떻게 대처하고 받아들여야 하는지 묻는다.
Morris lives in Kibera, one of the largest slums in Kenya’s capital Nairobi. Life there is difficult but through the marvels of urban farming and the creative use of an old sack, finds out how Morris is able to feed his family all year round. How do we cope with the growing demand on resources? As food prices rise, is there any way to protect the poorest? Or do we have to accept that they’re always going to go hungry?
