Synopsis

베두인족 남성의 두 번째 아내인 라페아는 인근 대학교에서 수업을 듣고 있다. 이 학교에서는 빈곤 지역 출신으로 교육 받지 못한
중년 여성들에게 태양광 에너지 직업훈련을 제공한다. 손쉬운 설치기술과 납땜을 익히게 된 라페아. 그녀는 직접 태양광 전등을
설치하며 가난에서 벗어날 수 있다는 희망을 키운다.
Rafea is the second wife of a Bedouin husband. She is selected to attend the Barefoot College in India
that takes uneducated middle-aged women from poor communities and trains them to become solar
engineers. The college’s 6-month program brings together women from all over the world. Learning
about electrical components and soldering without being able to read, write or understand English is the
easy part. Witness Rafea’s heroic efforts to pull herself and her family out of poverty

her films Control Room, Startup.com and Pangea Day.
