Synopsis

베네수엘라 항구의 마라카이보 호수에서는 매일 832,000 배럴의 석유가 생산된다. 1배럴 당 가격은 100달러. 하지만 그곳에 사는 루이스 가족은 한 달에 채 150달러도 되지 않는 돈으로 생활을 하고 있다. 형들과 놀기 위해 매일 빈 석유통을 찾아 다니는 루이스. 루이스에게 이 석유통은 과연 얼마의 가치를 지닐까?
Luis is 13 and lives on a floating village in the middle of the Maracaibo Lake, one of the main oil reserves in Venezuela. Every day in Maracaibo Lake 832,000 barrels of oil are extracted. Each barrel brings in 100 US dollars. Luis’ family lives on less than 150 dollars a month. We see life in the floating village through a child’s eyes.

Having worked in an experimental theater group, she graduated at London Film School, where she directed four of her first films. One of them, a short documentary, called ISAU, confirmed the connection Anabel Rodríguez RÍOS has with marginalized people.
