Synopsis

기후 변화와 치솟는 유가가 불러온 식량 위기에 대해 농부들과 지역사회의 반응을 기록한 다큐멘터리. 영화는 쿠바, 프랑스, 영국 등지에서 공동체를 구성하고 살아가는 이들의 희망과 변화의 ‘목소리’를 담고 있다. 그리고 사막지대가 다시 한번 생활의 토양이 되고 석유로부터의 자유가 우리에게 더 풍요롭고 보다 충만한 삶을 가져다 줄 수 있음을 유쾌하고 설득력 있게 제시한다.

Voices of Transition is an enthusiastic documentary on farmers- and community-led responses to food insecurity in a scenario of climate change and peak oil. Those ‘voices’, recorded in Cuba, France and the UK, tell us of a future society where our deserts will once again be living soil and where independence from oil will help us to live a richer and more fulfilling life.

 

Director 닐스 아길라 Nils AGUILAR
프랑스계 독일인 영화감독. 베를린과 파리를 오가며 작업 중이다. 사회학자 출신인 아길라 감독은 사회의 변화를 위해서 영화의 역할이 중요하다고 생각하며, 이를 자신의 영화에 반영하고자 한다.

Nils AGUILAR is a French-German filmmaker living and working in Berlin and Paris. With a background as a trained sociologist, Nils had an early awareness of the need for the societal transformation depicted in the film.
