Synopsis

2010년 부활절, 에콰도르 열대우림의 삼림개간 현장을 목격하고 충격을 받은 초등학교 교사 빅토리아 존스는 사람들과 자신의 생각을 나누기 위해 애니메이션을 만들기로 했다. 그렇게 탄생한 이 영화는 비닐, 헝겊 등의 재활용 오브제를 활용해 제작된 열대 우림 보호를 외치는 애니메이션이다. 미국 브릭넬초등학교의 어린이들과 지역단체가 작업과 내레이션에 참여하였다.
In Easter 2010, Victoria JONES was given the amazing opportunity alongside 11 teachers across the UK and an engineer from BP to travel to Ecuador and visit the Andes, the Cloud Forest and the Rain Forest to see deforestation first hand to enable her to share her real life experiences with children in her home town in an impactful an heartfelt manner. Her story enthralled her pupils so much, they decided to make an animated film to tell her story and help create awareness of rain-forest conservation.

초등학교 교사 빅토리아 존스의 2010년 에콰도르 여행에 관한 이야기가 학생들을 감동시켰고, 학생들은 그녀의 이야기를 영화화 하기로 결심했다. 영화 <에콰도르의 정글>은 이를 토대로 애니메이션 감독 데이빗 번팅과 브릭넬초등학교가 협업해 탄생한 작품이다.
Inspired by one primary teacher’s visit to the Cloud Forest, the Rain Forest and the Andes at Easter, the story enthralled her pupils so much, they decided to make an animated film to tell her story. Animator David BUNTING was invited into the school to help the children create the artwork.
