Synopsis

요술봉으로 이곳 저곳 마법을 걸며 장난을 치기 바쁜 농장의 어린이 실비. 요술봉 장난감이 망가지자, 엄마는 상심한 실비에게 진짜 마법을 보여주겠다고 한다. 엄마를 도와 수박씨를 심게 된 실비는 마법처럼 싹을 틔운 식물에게 반해 매일같이 물을 주고 정성을 쏟는다. 실비의 사랑을 받고 자란 수박은 풍성한 열매를 맺는데… 감독의 실제 딸인 실비가 출연하며, 모든 장면을 스틸 사진으로 촬영하여 애니메이션처럼 제작하였다.

Young Sylvie lives on a farm and lies to play tricks on her family with her magical wand. When the wand breaks, she is comforted by her mother, who helps her plant a tray of watermelon seeds. As Sylvie waters the plants until seedlings emerge, she falls in love with the tiny plants and soon takes ownership over them. Over the course of the summer, Sylvie is filled with pride as they swell to enormous side. In time, she realizes that she doesn't need a wand to experience magic. It can be found in the nature all around us.
