GFFIS2014 트레일러는 환경이 우리에게 선물한 자연에너지, 바람을 매개체로 펼쳐지는 젊은 남녀의 이야기에 창작 판소리가 결합된 새로운 형식으로, 서울환경영화제의 집행위원이자 오랜 친구인 김태용 감독이 다시 한 번 연출한다. 이번 영상을 위해 강민국 음악감독이 판소리 음악을 직접 작곡, 김태용 감독이 작사에 참여하며 젊은 소리꾼 이소연이 창을 맡아 주었다. 또한 작년 서울환경영화제 10주년 영상에 출연했던 배우 박희본, 백수장이 다시 한 번 호흡을 맞춰 주연남녀로 등장한다. 또한 서울환경영화제의 가치와 중요성을 공유한 전 스태프들이 “현장에서 일회용품 안 쓰기” 등 친환경 제작방식을 고수하면서 영상에도 함께 출연하여 춤을 선보인다. 이번 트레일러 영상은 5월 8일 개막식에서 처음 공개되고, 영화제 기간 동안 모든 상영관에서 상영에 앞서 만나볼 수 있게 된다. 또한 트레일러의 디렉터스 컷 버전 단편영화가 별도로 제작되어, ‘한국 환경영화의 흐름 단편 3’ 프로그렘에서 함께 상영된다.
This year, GFFIS introduces a trailer with a theme of the ‘wind’, which is natural energy the Mother Nature has bestowed upon us. Using the wind as a medium, this year’s festival trailer combines a story of a young couple with the Korean traditional music, Pansori, epic chant. Director KIM Tae-Yong, a long-time friend as well as a committee member of GFFIS, tales the helm again. For the trailer, music supervisor KANG Min-Kook composed the melody, director KIM Tae-Yong wrote lyrics and a young Pansori Performer LEE So-Yeon sang the song. Actors PARK Hee-Von and PAIK Soo-Jang, who contributed the 10th anniversary edition last year, played the leading roles again in this year’s trailer. Also, every production staff appeared in the dance sequence of the trailer. During the shooting, they led a couple of eco-friendly production manuals such as ‘No disposable products on the set’. The festival trailer will be revealed at the opening ceremony on May 8 and will be shown at the festival venue and cinema prior to each screening.

시놉시스 Synopsis
끝없이 펼쳐진 바다를 바라보며 언덕 위에 한 여자가 서 있다. 그리고 파도가 몰아치는 바닷가에는 한 남자가 서 있다. 여자의 커다란 눈망울에는 그리움이 한 가득, 그리움은 흥얼거림으로 이어지고 흥얼거림은 바람을 타고 소리가 된다. 신비로운 소리에 맞춰 천천히 춤을 추기 시작하는 여자. 여자의 춤을 본 사람들이 서로 이어서 한 명씩 한 명씩 춤을 추기 시작한다. 그 춤은 돌고 돌아 바닷가에 서 있던 한 남자에게 전달된다. 자신의 춤을 추고 있는 남자를 발견한 여자는 신기하기만 하다. 두 남녀는 서로 웃으면서 함께 춤을 추고 판소리는 최고조에 달한다. 모든 사람들이 등장해 추는 춤사위가 한데 어우러진다. 마치 자연의 바람이 우리를 감싸고 이어주듯이.

A woman stands on a hill watching the endless sea. And a man stands on the beach looking toward the rough sea. The longing in her big eyes leads to humming and the humming becomes sound in riding with the wind. The woman slowly starts dancing to the mysterious sound. People see her dancing and join her. The dance reaches out to the man on the beach. The woman finds him following her dance moves. As they laugh together and dance together, the Pansori epic chant reaches the climax and everyone comes together and the dancing continues, just like the nature of wind embracing and connecting us.

기획의도 Production Statement
풍차가 바람을 기다리듯 우리는 누군가를 그리워한다. 바람은 소리가 되고 바람은 사랑을 전하며 바람은 누군가의 등불이 된다. 바람이 에너지가 되어 따뜻한 가로등을 켜는 것처럼 한줄기 바람이 우리들의 마음을 시원하게 이어주면 좋겠다.

Like a windmill waits for the wind to blow, we miss somebody. The wind turns into sound, delivers love and becomes a lamp for someone. Like the wind transforms itself into energy and turns the street lights on, I wish that a puff of wind could connect everyone heart to heart.
