Synopsis

지구의 생물종 다양성은 개발을 향한 인간의 집착으로 인해 점점 더 많은 위기에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 개발은 과연 인류를 어디로 이끌어갈 것인가. 결국 개발이냐 보존이냐, 유지냐 파괴냐의 문제일 것이다. 영화는 우리를 무겁게 짓누르는 현실을, 마닐라 톤도의 탄광촌에서 살아가는 세 아이의 삶을 통해 드러낸다. 생계를 위해 못을 찾아 쓰레기 더미를 뒤지고 다니던 아이들은 폐허 틈에 자란 식물이라는 생명체를 발견하게 된다.

The earth's biodiversity is faced with more challenges to survive as a result of human's quest for development. This pressing reality is chronicled through the lives of three kids residing in the coal-producing area in Tondo, Manila. In their daily quest to find nails to earn a living, they find a life form, a plant, which demands a trans-formative reality to be painted and be repainted.
