Synopsis

풍요로움과 다채로움의 상징과도 같았던 도시, 도쿄. 하지만 2011년 3.11 이후 도쿄에는 어떤 변화가 일어났을까? 3천 만이 넘는 인구가 몰려 사는 이 대도시에 모든 공급은 충분하게 이루어지고 있는가? 도쿄의 먹거리와 식재료들은 과연 안전한가? 도쿄에서만 하루에 2,500톤이 넘게 거래될 정도로 생선을 사랑하는 일본인들이지만 도쿄의 식당들은 이제 자국 영해에서 잡힌 생선의 사용을 꺼리고 있다. 수확된 채소들에서는 세슘이 검출되고, 마실 물 조차 불안한 상태. 누구도 믿을 수 없는 사회, 과학과 정치 분야에 대한 일본인들의 신뢰는 바닥을 치고 있다. <도쿄의 불안한 식탁>은 그들의 분노에 관한 영화다.
The film footage allows a look into otherwise closed places like water and sewage treatment plants. It shows sanitation workers, fishmongers, and farmers at work and illustrates the Japanese values of ritual, discipline, and belonging to a group. Since the 11th of March 2011, the perspective has shifted. In July 2012, I went back to visit the same people in Tokyo and in northeast Japan, and I asked them how things had changed. The result is a film about how this city of superlatives is supplied, at the same time delivering insight into the disaster of Fukushima and its aftermath. This is a film about the loss of trust in the technical and political elite and about the “anger in the belly” of many Japanese.

독일 라이프니츠대학교에서 독일어, 사회학, 정치학, 교육학을 공부했다. 1988년부터 독일 공영방송채널에서 인생과 사회, 문화에 관한 이야기들을 영화로 만들어 왔으며 2002년에는 직접 프로덕션을 설립하고 영화를 제작 중이다.
Reinhild DETTMER-FINKE studied German, Sociology, Political Science and Education at Leibniz University in Hanover. Since 1988, She has been writing and making films about life, society, and culture. She started producing her own films and in 2002 with her own production company
