Synopsis

3.11 대지진과 후쿠시마 원전사고가 평범한 일본인들에게 남긴 정신적 트라우마, 그리고 일상의 변화에 대한 보고서. 도쿄의 조
그만 아파트에서 살고 있는 사에코와 유카코는 대지진과 원전사고 이후 모든 것이 불안하기만 하다. 갑자기 남편에게 이혼을 요구
받은 사에코는 오히려 딸이 방사능에 노출되지 않을까 걱정하고, 유카코 역시 방사능 공포 때문에 도쿄를 떠나고 싶어한다. 동네
곳곳을 돌아다니며 방사능 수치를 확인하고 유치원 마당까지 점검하면서 강박적 증상을 보이는 사에코. 하지만 주변인들은 오히
려 사람들을 불안하게 하는 건 당신이라며 그녀를 공격한다. 명백한 위험에 무감각해진 사람들. 그리고 그들에게 입을 닫기를 요
구하는 사회. <온화한 일상>은 후쿠시마 사고 이후 침묵하는 일본사회의 단면을 드러내는 영화다.
Odayaka may be among the first to deal with the psychological impact of the disaster on average
Japanese on a day-to-day basis. In a small Tokyo apartment, Saeko and Yukako become anxious about
everything since the quake. Saeko, whose husband has requested a divorce, is terrified her daughter
Kiyomi will be exposed to radioactivity, and Yukako keeps nagging her husband to move for the same
reason, the director has a different perspective on the people who would alienate Saeko and Yukako,
rooted in the question of why some of us act as if everything is normal, and as if we saw nothing. He
wonders why others don’t scream, cry, or express their anxiety the way Saeko and Yukako do, and why
people wouldn’t support Saeko and Yukako.

 

Director 우치다 노부테루 UCHIDA Nobuteru
일본 사이타마현 출생. 다큐멘터리와 단편영화를 만들다가 첫 번째로 내놓은 장편극영화 <Kazaana>
가 세계 주요 영화제에서 수상하며 주목을 받았다. <러브 어딕션>(2010)은 도쿄필름엑스영화제에서
수상하였고 로테르담영화제 경쟁부문에 초청되었다. 차기작은 <방황하는 짐승>(2013)이다.
UCHIDA Nobuteru was born in Saitama Prefecture. He first made a documentary and a
short film before winning several prizes at film festivals worldwide with his first feature,
Kazaana (2007). Love Addiction (2010), his second feature, won the Major Award at the
Tokyo FilmEx Festival and invited to Rotterdam Film Festival.
